Featured Work

Here is a sampling of some of the key projects that I contributed to as a Product Manager. You can click through the arrow on each project to view additional screens and details about each initiative.

Hill’s Pet Profile

Hill’s (a Colgate-Palmolive company) needed a comprehensive tool that would allow them to capture data about customers and their pets and enable a value exchange that simplified pet parenthood. The goal was to understand the pets in their household to  better help them find the right products for their needs, to support personalization of marketing initiatives.

Lead Capture

Core to the marketing strategy for Hill’s was to engage with pet parents in a more personalized and effective way. The last thing we wanted to do was market to a family about a pet that was deceased, so we built our experience around dual profiles: one for you, and one for your pet.

I supported the technical strategy that allowed for the integration of several key solutions in the Hill’s ecosystem, including  our SAP Gigya lead capture Lightbox.

Registration Form

After generating initial interest, we included a multi-step profile creation form, that created both Pet Parent and Pet profiles.  These would be integrated with SAP CDC (Gigya), Salesforce and our custom Pet Profile database.

In the long term roadmap, these will also be connected to data within the Veterinary ecosystem, connecting insights Vets provide with data shared by pet parents for a comprehensive view of the pet.

Pet Profile Page

On the Pet Profile Page, Pet parents can provide additional details about their pet, including pet type, age, health conditions, weight and upload a photo.

Some of the key activities in developing these pages were to assess technical architecture for a lightweight DAM solution for image storage, and ensure that pet data was readily available to all integrated systems, such as informing the recommended articles system and fueling our marketing campaigns.

Milestones

Here, we simplify pet parenthood, by suggesting the activities that pet parents should do on an ongoing basis to support their pets’ health, suggesting how to keep senior pets healthy and track growth milestones for younger animals.

We worked with stakeholders from the Hill’s Vet team to identify the key milestones at various stages (Puppy/Kitten, Adult, Senior) and give pet parents the list of annual and one-time activities that needed to be done, to keep their pets healthy. This required ongoing stakeholder management, and support of the dev team in planning a custom solution for this feature.

Recommended Articles

Recommended articles were a key part of our data-for-value-exchange with pet parents. The more information they provided about their pet, the more customized the recommended articles would be. We established critical criteria and mapped the hundreds of articles on the Hill’s Pet site, to showcase the most relevant content to the current needs of their pet.

Hill’s Veterinary Ecosystem: Team Management

A massive portion of Hill’s sales come through their relationships with Veterinarians who recommend their products. Hill’s faced a challenge: all of their legacy systems had different access requirements and there was no consistency in how clinic team members accessed tools critical to their operations. I led workshops to define the critical access rules across the ecosystem, and oversaw vendors to ensure effective delivery of the MVP.

Self-identification screen

Team members are able to search for clinics and join them by providing key information to demonstrate their association with the clinic. We took a micro-service, API-based approach to integration to make the clinic search functionality extensible across the Hill’s Vet ecosystem.

Manager View: Team Management

Managers of the clinic were given additional control over the membership of the clinic, by modifying the role of users, removing them from the clinic, or inviting new staff to join. In the roadmap, we included key features such as application-specific access management and additional security levels.

Member View: Team Management

On the Member view for Teams, users are given limited controls over the clinic. Their focus on this screen was accessing key details about the clinic – because these users often work at multiple clinics, we ensured they could find key ordering details for their various offices in one place. We also gave them the ability to leave the team, and in the roadmap plan to include the ability to request additional permissions.

Verizon

The “Individual Profiles” initiative focused on the Verizon customer experience, and boosting long-term engagement and value by incentivizing creation of profiles for each customer, rather than just the fiscally responsible account owner.

Global Attributes

One VZ ID allowed customers with multiple Verizon services to merge and link their accounts. This served as the foundation for an initiative I supported: Global Attributes.

Rather than having distinct fields for the same Attributes across different products, Global Attributes was a unified data strategy that connected all products.

I led the data strategy for the initiative:

  • defined the fields that would be considered for promotion to Global,
  • aligned with Legal which attributes could NOT be promoted due to privacy concerns,
  • collaborated with the Experience team to establish how these fields would be managed across the VZ ecosystem,
  • worked with Shared Capabilities to define rules for elevation of attributes, going forward.

Managed Profiles

I led the definition of the features and roadmap for Managed Profiles – persistent identities for all users, including children, seniors and adult dependents, who do not log in to manage their own services.

This would enable better personalization for the owner by ensuring cleaner, more accurately attributed data.

It would also increase long-term sales by making it more likely for children of Verizon customers to choose Verizon when they are ready to “graduate” to paying for their own services.

Split Bill and Pay

Split Bill and Pay will allow all family members to contribute directly to the bill, rather than paying family members for their portion “offline.”

This feature will increase both Profiles adoption and engagement with Verizon, by giving non-owners a reason to create a profile and start to build a relationship with VZ.

I supported workshops on feature development and design explorations on a critical feature to drive adoption among non-owners.

Republix

Republix is a data driven Marketing Agency helping business owners growth, without the hassle of having to manage and onboard multiple agencies who sell and service with a bias. I was Product Owner and Head of Platform Adoption for their internal platform, that would allow multiple agencies under their umbrella to collaborate effectively.

Daily Planner

We modeled our daily planner after Brendan Burchard’s High Performance Planner. This gave team members one place to track all of the meetings and tasks for the day, as well as to track their KPIs and OKRs.

Tasks

Our task management system allowed employees and contractors to easily track time and work in progress, for effective reporting. These could be manually assigned, or automatically generated through defined workflows.

Better Meetings

Our Better Meetings system allowed us to effectively capture decisions and insights in internal and client meetings, assign action items, and schedule follow-ups. The system automatically delivered a email report, both to clients and to internal stakeholders on what was discussed, and what was next.

Workflow Builder

Our tool allowed for the creation of custom workflows, either for pre-defined project types or for any processes that an agency needed. These workflows could automatically create tasks, meetings and other records as users moved a project through their workflows.

FoamIt

In order to simplify the lead capture opportunities for their sales team, FoamIt needed a custom calculator that could offer an initial estimate, and weed out the low-value customers.

Job Type

This allowed FoamIt to customize the journey based on the project type, and prioritize high-value targets like Builders and Property Managers who offered a high long-term customer value.

Calculator inputs

Customers were able to input the details of their space, selecting from various types of rooms, adding dimensions and the preferred insulation level. These inputs are connected to our custom calculator.

Intant Quote

Based on the previous inputs, customers would be provided a quote for their services, and be offered the opportunity to get in touch.
